Cool and Windy

We had a stretch of real windy weather. Gusts up to 40 mph. That gets the trailer to rocking. One thing to do on windy days is go for a dtive. I went into Yuma and I washed my truck. The hand held sprayer is so strong you have to lean into it. After that I  got a Coney at Wienerschnitzel. The eastern horizon is awesome almost every morning:
Today I went into Yuma to get a flu shot at Sam's.  After that we went to my favorite burger place for lunch. Wish we had them in Michigan.
Greg made a big lit up B at the entrance to our camp spot. It's helpful to find it in the dark.
Cool huh. B for Boyer, Boggs, and Byar.
That's all for now.

First full day at Imperial Dam LTVA

Woke up and made my coffee.
Went in to Yuma to get some supplies.  I needed RVCaulk for a repair on my roof. Then bought some groceries for 5 way chilli which I will make for everyone.  It turned out to be a perfect day. I changed into short and a t-shirt.  It was pretty hot up on the roof of the trailer.
Getting the old cap off was a little tough. The new cap when on easily.
FYI. I will not post unless something interesting happens from now on.

Last day of Driving

Got up early to avoid Tucson's morning rush hour. Worked well. Heading for Yuma. Stopped in Gila Bend AZ. Found a place for a sit down breakfast. The name of the place is Space Age. The food was good. The atmosphere was out of this world.
Arrived in Yuma around 10 am. Got supplies at Walmart and water at a water kiosk. 75 cent for 5 gallons. See pic below of our camp at Imperial Dam LTVA.

Van Horn to Pima County Fairgrounds

Started driving at 3Am and got through El Paso easily. Drove to just east of Tucson at the Pima County Fairgrounds. They have an RV park with full hookups.Good place to de-winterize the trailers. The wind was terrible. Got er done anyways. One more day of driving. Pictures I took along the way. Steve ahead of me and a funny looking cloud. Z

Where am I
